“A World We Can Change” conference on March 13

The South Coast Air Quality Management District (SCAQMD) invites your students and you to attend  “A World We Can Change” conference on Wednesday, March 13, 2013 at the Long Beach Convention Center.

SCAQMD’s goal is to reach approximately 8,000 students to educate, inspire
and engage our youth in air quality and environmental issues. To this end,
SCAQMD is partnering with major environmental education organizations such
as the Alliance for Climate Education (ACE) and Global Inheritance. ACE will
be presenting their awarding winning assembly to educate conference goers on
climate science and what each individual can do to make a positive
difference in our environment. The Expo Hall will be like no other,
featuring hands-on and interactive exhibits, state-of-the-art technology
displays, and information on educational, volunteer, and career
opportunities. In one exhibit, students will have the opportunity to learn
firsthand from Global Inheritance about energy and sustainability issues as
they power a live DJ booth by riding stationary bicycles.
